Aidan Klimenko (b. 1989) is an American documentary and fine art photographer based in Los Angeles, USA. Having grown up in both Ecuador and Minnesota, Klimenko’s practice often deals with themes, issues and narratives that aim to bridge the American continents and cultures. Klimenko’s methodical approach to image making is one of personal relationships within communities and passion for connection that together form work that is as intimate as it is informed. Klimenko is a winner of LensCulture’s 2023 “Emerging Talent Award” and a recent recipient of a National Geographic journalism grant for his first book project, “Achupalla”. Klimenko’s images have been published in an array of notable publications such as National Geographic, Time Magazine and Humble Arts NY. Klimenko’s client list for commercial imagery includes Subaru, Adidas, Nike, REI, Seabuorn, Doên, VINCE and Alex Mill.
